Privacy policy
Last updated: 31 August 2026
Alvento Ltd (company number 15808196, registered in England and Wales) operates alvento.uk, including its free tools, website audit and enquiry forms, and blog. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it.
Who we are
Alvento Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through alvento.uk. You can contact us about any privacy matter at hello@alvento.uk.
What we collect and why
| Where | What we collect | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Enquiry / diagnostic / audit request forms and mailto links | Name, email address, organisation, and whatever you tell us about your enquiry | To respond to your request and, if you proceed, deliver the audit or service you asked for |
| Free tools (e.g. the MDR class checker, PDF to Markdown, PSBAR statement generator) | Email address, if you choose to leave one to receive a result or be contacted about the tool | To send you the output you requested, or follow up if you asked us to |
| All pages | Standard analytics data (pages visited, approximate location from IP, device/browser type) via Google Analytics | To understand how the site is used and improve it |
Legal basis
We process enquiry and tool-capture data under legitimate interest (responding to a request you initiated) or, where required, your consent. We process analytics data under legitimate interest, balanced against your right to privacy: Google Analytics uses cookies, and you can block these in your browser settings at any time.
Who we share data with
We use a small number of processors to run the site and respond to enquiries:
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) for site-usage analytics
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for sending transactional email (audit results, tool outputs, replies to enquiries)
- Vercel Inc. for hosting alvento.uk
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing purposes.
How long we keep it
Enquiry and tool-capture data is kept only as long as needed to respond to your request or deliver what you asked for, and is deleted or anonymised once that's done unless you become a client, in which case normal business record-keeping periods apply. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' standard retention settings.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data
- Stop processing your data, or restrict how we use it
- Give you a copy of your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@alvento.uk. If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Cookies
alvento.uk uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies to distinguish visitors and measure site usage. No other tracking or advertising cookies are used. You can disable cookies entirely in your browser settings; the site will still work without them.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if what we collect or how we use it changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
