Help people find clear information about your organisation in AI search.

Make public information clearer, check technical discoverability and measure how your organisation appears for an agreed set of AI-search questions. This work complements SEO. Citation, ranking and traffic gains are not guaranteed.

AEO can be discussed as a standalone service or as part of a wider content brief.

record answers, mentions, citations and source links for agreed questions
Review
agree who approves public claims and whether specialist input is needed
Repeat
recheck the same questions and report changes, including no improvement

Make your information easier to find and understand

People may use AI search to learn about your organisation. Clear information makes your purpose and services easier to understand.

AI answers bypass your website

AI answers may summarise information without a visit to your website. We record whether the sampled answers mention your organisation and link to the right source.

The wrong source gets cited

Keep your organisation's public information clear, current and consistent across its website and listings.

Public claims need review

Agree the intended audience, evidence for claims and approval responsibilities. Independent specialists can be included depending on requirements, availability and cost.

Keep information consistent

Clear names, service descriptions and source references help readers assess your information. They do not ensure that an AI engine selects it.

Where we can measure visibility

Agree which platforms matter to your audience. Record platform, date, query, available model or search mode, answer, citation and source URL. Results vary between runs and users.

SEO and AI visibility share foundations

Crawlable pages, clear answers and credible source material support both search and AI discovery. There is no separate markup that guarantees AI inclusion.

What we actually do

You receive a documented baseline, prioritised page and technical recommendations, and agreed content changes or monitoring. Scope and approval responsibilities are recorded before work starts.

01

Regulated AI Visibility Audit

Agree a repeatable question set and selected platforms. Save answers and source links before changes. Report mentions and citations as a share of this sample, not as a measure of all AI searches.

02

Entity & Authority Mapping

Review how your organisation's name, purpose, services and public information are presented across the web.

03

Content Restructuring and Review

Draft clearer service descriptions and answers supported by your source material. Check structured data against visible content. Your designated reviewer approves claims; specialist regulatory assessment is a separately agreed task.

04

Public-source Consistency

Review relevant public listings and references for accuracy and suggest corrections. We do not promise placements, endorsements or selection by answer engines.

05

Ongoing Citation Monitoring

Repeat the agreed question set on a scheduled basis. Report correct mentions, source links, errors and changes against baseline. Where available, review referral visits and enquiries separately; citation counts do not establish business impact.

Scoped against your remit and regulatory posture

AEO for regulated organisations is quoted against scope, not sold off a price list. Engagements start at diagnostic level and move into a retainer once the baseline is written down. No lock-in.

  • Diagnostic

A baseline on agreed platforms, a review of public information and technical access, and a prioritised action plan. Deliverables, review requirements and timeline are agreed in writing.

  • Retainer

Agreed content improvements and repeat monitoring against the baseline. Frequency, platforms, approval responsibilities and reporting are scoped separately.

  • Component of a wider engagement

If your brief includes wider content work, describe it when you contact us so the scope can be agreed.

FAQ

What is Answer Engine Optimisation?

AEO reviews how public information is discovered and represented in AI answers. Work can include technical discoverability, clearer content and repeat measurements. It does not guarantee a citation.

How is this different from SEO?

The work overlaps with SEO: crawlability, clear information and credible sources remain useful. AI visibility adds sampled checks of generated answers and their source links.

Why scope this around MHRA, GMC and ICO?

Your public claims may need internal or specialist review. We agree who approves them. Content assistance does not establish regulatory compliance or remove the need for qualified assessment.

How long until we see results?

There is no evidenced typical timeframe for Alvento engagements. We agree a baseline and reporting schedule; results may improve, remain unchanged or decline.

Do we still need traditional SEO?

Yes. Technical SEO and useful, well-supported content can contribute to AI discoverability as well as conventional search. No technique guarantees inclusion.

Can you guarantee AI citations?

No. We commit to the agreed work and transparent reporting, including unchanged or negative results. Answer engines control their own source selection.

What industries does this work for?

Organisations whose public content has to survive regulatory review: medical societies, royal colleges, clinical registries, national clinical audits and regulated medtech. If your content carries no regulatory constraint, a general SEO or AEO agency is likely the better fit.

How is a diagnostic priced?

Diagnostics are quoted against scope rather than sold off a price list. Variables that shift the number: size of the organisation, number of regulated frameworks in play (MHRA, ICO, GMC, HRA, DSPT, NICE), breadth of the answer-engine baseline, and whether the output has to clear an internal governance or legal review. Send us a short brief and we will come back with a fixed scope and price.
